MASON CITY – A woman is dead, and a man injured after the motorcycle they were riding on was struck by a car, outside Mason City.
According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, at about 9:43 PM, deputies responded to 265th Street and Killdeer Avenue after a report of a collision. Deputies learned that a 2010 Harley Davidson was traveling eastbound on 265th Street when a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling southbound and pulled into the eastbound lanes of traffic, in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then collided with the Grand Prix.
As a result of the crash, the male driver of the motorcycle – now identified as Todd Kephart, age 54 of Mason City – was injured and transported to Mercy Hospital. The female passenger – Margaret Bowe, age 63 of Mason City – was declared dead at the scene. The occupants of the Grand Prix – Timothy Thompson, age 17 of Forest City – was not injured.
If that picture is the motorcycle described in the article as a 2010 Harley Davidson somebody screwed up !!!
so this site reports AM & kimt reporting PM… if accident happened in the evening, that totally explains my above comment… wrong time of day is would explain me not seeing or hearing anything while I was at work… so sad for all families involved! my heart goes out to you the most….
I have to ask, where do you see A.M. I see the accident happening at 9:43 PM. It is the same with the second comment saying he left work at 10:15 AM. Unless the time in the article has been changed. I know the GLOB changes things every day and I understand that typo’s are occasionally made. Hell, I even make a few myself.
I’m not perfect; never declared myself to be. Of course a typo can and will happen. When it happens, I try to correct it with lightning speed. It’s all you can do. Thanks to loyal readers, I find out in a hurry and get the fix in. I’m grateful to the polite folks who let me know when a typo happens. They held us keep the trolls under their rocks.
I read this article twice and never saw AM anywhere.
something about this just doesn’t seem right.. 265th and Killdeer is Brakke Implement corner, correct? I work one business directly east of Brakke and was at work yesterday at said time of accident… Here is where I’m getting confused- I left work at 10:15 AM. If that serious of an accident happened I would have heard emergency vehicles and you think they’d still be investigating half hour later… again, I saw nor heard a thing…
