MASON CITY – President Scott Shipman of the Mason City Noon Rotary announced publicly today that NoonRotary will be providing funding to Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank for a 3 door commercial refrigeration unit.

Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank’s project is being funded by dollars raised in this year’s Mason City Noon Rotary’s sixth annual $100,000 Hole in One Shoot Out.  The food bank is rotary’s 2015 charity of choice.

This is the sixth year for the event that has provided significant financial support to a different local non profit each year, according to Shipman.

Hole in one competitions will begin in May and June at 5 area golf courses with 8-10 more regional qualifying events to be added before June 27th. Visit www.rotaryholeinone.org for the latest qualifying event scheduling, prizes, sponsors, qualifying rules and qualifying results. The finals will be held Saturday, June 27th at North Iowa Golf in Mason City.
