MINNEAPOLIS – At 6:30 Friday morning, March 27, a Minneapolis Police Officer working off duty security heard multiple shots in the area of North 10th Street and Currie Avenue.
The officer went to the area and located an adult male who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect had fled the area.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
Officers canvassed the area, interviewed several people, and are reviewing videotape from the surrounding areas. They are following up on available leads. From the information received at this point, police said that this does not appear to be a random incident.
The Medical Examiner will release the identity of the victim and the nature and cause of death.
