INDEPENDENCE – Law enforcement took an alleged math-maker off the streets this week.
On Monday, March 23, 2015, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Nicholas James Thomas, 26, of Independence. Thomas was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (class B felony). This arrest was made after the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 1800 blk First Street West in Independence on 11/05/2014. Several items were seized during the search warrant and sent for testing. Lab results received back indicated the presence of Methamphetamine. Thomas was held at the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office.
