SEATTLE, WA – Aaron White took Iowa into the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament with a 26-point performance as the Hawkeyes demolished Davidson 83-52.

Iowa’s 31-point win over Davidson is the largest ever in a 7-10 matchup in NCAA Tournament history, ESPN reported. The win is Iowa’s first in the NCAA Tournament since 2001.

Iowa led by 9 at the half. The Hawkeyes played stifling defense against the sharp-shooting Davidson out of the Atlantic 10 Conference, running out to guard their 3-point shooters on every possession.

Iowa senior Aaron White scored 26 points. He became just the 4th player in Big Ten history with 1,800+ points and 900+ rebounds.

“So blessed!!! So happy for this program, state, coaches, teammates, family and fans!! Survive and advance!”

Iowa’s third round game Sunday will tipoff at 6:10 p.m. (CT) and will be televised on TBS.
