Mason City man faces probation revocation in marijuana dealing case

MASON CITY – A Mason City man who police say was dealing marijuana and later got a deferred judgement in that case is accused of violating his probation.

Kaleb Martinez Prestby, age 27, had been wanted on an arrest warrant since January 20 in connection with a marijuana dealing charge brought by Mason City police back in 2010. Prestby later pleaded guilty and was given a deferred judgement, was ordered to pay $1,448.70 in fines and court fees and was placed on probation until 2016.

The Iowa Department of Corrections on January 16 accused Prestby of violating his probation, prompting the arrest warrant. Prestby was arrested by Mason City police on the evening of March 2 at 802 3rd Street NE.

No date has been set yet for his probation revocation hearing.
