MASON CITY – A Clarion, Iowa pharmacist recently quit the Mason School Board, and now the board has somehow selected a replacement.

Tim Becker, who works in Clarion, Iowa as a pharmacist and recently resigned from the Mason City School Board, apparently will be replaced by Jim Collins of Alliant Energy, documents show.

Mr. Collins is set for approval at the school board meeting to be held Monday, March 2.  The district did not explain how it selected Mr. Collins to fill the board vacancy left by Mr. Becker, or how the appointment was placed on the board’s meeting agenda.
