Mason City man serving two days in jail for domestic abuse assault

MASON CITY – A Mason City man has been sent to jail after he allegedly kicked his girlfriend during a domestic incident last fall.

Mason City police arrived at 420 4th Street NW at about 1:30 PM after an emergency call about a domestic altercation between a male subject and his girlfriend. It was reported to police that the male subject, 26-year-old Chace Noelan Jacobson had kicked his girlfriend. She had left the house by the time police arrived and was waiting outside in a white van with a friend.

Upon arrival, police began an investigation and questioned the two subjects. An older male was already at the scene removing items from the house. Jacobson sat on the front steps talking to an officer while another officer questioned the alleged victim in the van.

Soon, the van left for police headquarters for statements to be filled out. Jacobson was arrested a short time later, charged with serious domestic abuse.

Jacobson is now serving two days in jail for domestic abuse assault. Court records were incomplete with further details on the case.
