MASON CITY – A man became violent at the Prairie Ridge Addiction Treatment Center Friday morning and police were called.
The incident occurred at about 8 AM Friday morning at the Prairie Ridge Addiction Treatment Center, located at 320 North Eisenhower Avenue. A man there, 24-year-old Blaine Roland Hiemstra of Cedar Rapids was involved in an altercation, prompting a call to police,, who arrived shortly thereafter. Police placed Hiemstra under arrest on a charge of disorderly conduct – fighting or violent behavior.
Hiemstra was booked, jailed, and released shortly thereafter when he posted $300 bond. He awaits a February 13 court hearing.
