MOIUNT PLEASANT, IA – Pilot Flying J has opened a Pilot Travel Center in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, featuring full amenities for area residents and the traveling public, while adding 100 local jobs and other economic benefits to the community.
“We’re thrilled that our new travel center will serve the Mount Pleasant community, as well as contribute to the local economy,” Pilot Flying J CEO Jimmy Haslam said. “We hope the local residents and those traveling through the Henry County area will enjoy the convenience and amenities of our new Pilot Travel Center.”
Located near the intersection of Highways 34 and 27, the travel center offers many amenities, including:
10 gasoline and seven diesel lanes with high-speed pumps for quicker refueling
Arby’s
Cinnabon
PJ Fresh fast, casual food offerings, including roasted chicken, meatloaf, pizza, soup, salads, sandwiches and a variety of hot, fresh grill items
Premium coffee and cappuccino selections
Everyday products for quick shopping needs, including cell phone accessories, general merchandise and packaged snack foods
The new facility at 1300 N. Grand Ave. is Pilot Flying J’s 17th location in Iowa. The travel center adds 100 local jobs and is expected to contribute $3 million annually in state and local tax revenues.

As with all other Pilot and Flying J locations, the Mount Pleasant Pilot Travel Center honors the MyRewards loyalty card, through which members can earn in-store retail and restaurant discounts.
The combined network of over 650 Pilot travel centers and Flying J travel plazas across North America serves more than 1.3 million customers daily.
