MASON CITY – A Mason City woman caught in Clear Lake with methamphetamine is serving a jail sentence after a guilty plea.
Tina Marie Merriss, age 50, was arrested by Clear Lake police on August 2 after the officer discovered she had the powerful and illegal drug methamphetamine. She was charged with second offense possession of meth.
On January 27, 2015, Merriss pleaded guilty to that charge. Judge Annette Boehlje sentenced Merriss to 365 days in jail with 363 suspended. Boehlje also suspended a $625 fine and placed Merriss on one year of probation.
Merriss is serving her jail sentence at this time.
