MASON CITY – A Mason City man was jailed for drunk driving for the second time.
Just after midnight on January 25, a Cerro Gordo deputy conducted a traffic stop at Jefferson Avenue and State Street when he noticed the driver had an improper brake light. During the course of the ensuing investigation, the deputy determined that the driver, 33-year-old Jason Douglas Martin of Mason City, was intoxicated. He also had no insurance and no registration.
Martin was taken to jail and booked before he was released pending a court date. He was also arrested by a Cerro Gordo deputy back in 2000 for drunk driving, to which he entered a guilty plea.
