Four in jail after two people found shot dead

OSCEOLA, IA – Four people are in jail after two people were found shot dead in a car.

On Saturday, January 24, 2015, at approximately 9:30 PM, the Osceola Police Department received a report of two persons who had gone missing during the evening hours on Friday, January 23, 2015.

After further investigation, the two missing persons were located in a vehicle at 1305 255th Avenue, Osceola, in rural northern Clarke County, deceased. Initially, it appears that both victims died of gunshot wounds.

The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of the family. Autopsies are being planned for Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner, in Ankeny.

The following individuals have been charged in this case:

Christopher Martin Elben, 42 years of age, from Osceola. Charged with 1 count of Accessory After the Fact.
johnson
Tracy Kay Johnson, 43 years of age, from Osceola. Charged with 1 count of Accessory After the Fact.
sutton
Lynn Ranean Sutton, 47 years of age, from Osceola. Charged with 1 count of Accessory After the Fact.
Richard Ryan Lamb Carson, 38 years of age, from Osceola.                 Charged with 2 counts of 1st Degree Murder.

Charged with 2 counts of 1st Degree Murder.

The investigation is on-going; however, it appears this is an isolated incident and the public is not in danger.
The Osceola Police Department is being assisted by the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
