AFGHANISTAN – The Afghan Ministry of the Interior reports today that
27 terrorists were killed and 62 landmines disabled over the past 24 hours.
Afghan National Security Forces carried out multiple clearance operations in the past 24 hours in the provinces of Kunar, Ghazni, Herat, Paktika, Paktia, Kandahar, Balkh and Khost, officials reported. As a result of the operations, 27 Taliban insurgents were killed, 6 insurgents were wounded, 8 insurgents were captured and a cache of weapons was seized.
In addition, Afghan security personnel found and disabled 62 landmines in Kandahar, Ghazni, Khost, Herat and Helmand provinces.
