Wanted Mason City domestic abuser jailed for failing to show up in court

MASON CITY – A man convicted last year of felony domestic assault, placed on probation and later caught with methamphetamine skipped his court date and was later caught by police.

Joshua Alan Wolff, age 24, was caught by Mason City police on December 22 at Mercy Hospital. He was wanted on two warrants connected to probation violations in a felony domestic abuse case and for failing to show up in court on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. Wolff was caught by Mason City police on September 17 with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and charged. He has been on probation since last October, when he pled guilty to felony domestic abuse assault involving strangulation. He is now accused of violating his probation in that case and is in the Cerro Gordo County Jail as he awaits an January 9 court date.

He has a jury trial date set for December 30 on the meth charge.
