MANCHESTER, IA – Police were called on an Iowa man this week who was kicking doors and trying get at his girlfriend with a hammer.
The Manchester Police Department was called to the Can Do Redemption Center on East Main St. for a person that was upset and kicking doors on Wednesday November 19, 2014. When law enforcement arrived, they were informed that a suspect was inside and he had a hammer. The suspect was taken into custody and an investigation uncovered the suspect was upset with an ex-girlfriend and he had attempted to force his way into a locked room with a hammer to gain access to her.
Police arrested 29-year-old Joshua William Cumming of Guttenberg, Iowa on charges of felony B 1st degree burglary, felony D interference with official acts, assault with a dangerous weapon, 4th degree criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
