Newsflash: Whites trust cops more than non-whites

Elite white people in Mason City for sure get treated real, real good by the police.
Elite white people in Mason City get treated real, real good by the police.  The non-elites should consider wearing hockey pads to protect themselves since the cops won’t do it.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A new poll shows that whites trust cops more than non-whites.

According to a Gallup poll, white Americans (60%) surveyed last month expressed more trust in police than nonwhites did (49%), although the 11-percentage-point gap is slightly smaller than the average 14-point gap seen since 1985.

Gallup conducted the poll in the run-up to the grand jury decision that looms in Ferguson, Missouri, where a cop shot a black kid that was said to be un-armed.

One Mason City white man said of the poll: “Not sure who Gallup talked to, or where they found these white people that trust cops. All I know is, in Mason City, the cops only protect the “elites” and it generally don’t matter what color they are. The elites can assault the rest of us and let them off scott-free. Hard to trust that.  By the way, I know of several “elite” fat middle-aged white guys who drive home drunk multiple times a week from the County Club, but you never see any drunk driving arrests out there.  That should tell you something.  One guy runs a local bank.”

I still think Matt and Robin would make a cute couple. 🙂

Lol.

And just why do more whites trust cops compared to non whites. There has to be a reason, maybe it’s attitude, maybe it’s the, you owe me mentality, work ethic, or moral beliefs. It has to be something, what is it.

The country has turned left in the most recent years. Americans have either given, or had stolen, many rights.
Anyone with a badge and a gun, can basically do what they wish, without being questioned. If they are questioned, it is by their piers, and they will be found justified for any actions.
They are out there to raise money for themselves and the mother state! Period

There is definitely favortism in Mason City. It didn’t used to be that way but certainly is now. It just pisses me off when someone is responsible enough to walk home from a bar because they know they have drank to much, only to have them arrested for public intoxication. What gives the police the right to stop those people who are just walking and check them out?

And to this I agree with your words. The alcohol industry is allowed to brew, distill, sell, & profit. Distributors ship in the spirits then restaurants, bars and grocery stores peddle the products. When humans consume the products (suffering the very predictable inebriation that is to follow) law enforcement does everything to arrest them but yet leaves alone the manufacturers, servers and distributors of the poison. It’s a form of double dipping…taxing then punishing consumers

Ultimately any establishment which serves ready to consume drinks such as a bar or restaurant should be required to offer free breathalyzer tests to patrons, and also require patrons who appear inebriated to “blow” before receiving another drink…to insure they are below the .08 BAC state legal level. Of course you know patrons would only be able to order 2 drinks…3 tops, and bars wouldn’t make as much money. A predatory system is currently in place.

There are a lot of people who drink responsibly. They will have a drink or two to relax and that is OK. Most do not not drink and drive. I am not one of those but I do have family members who like to have a occasional drink.

And there are lots of people in Colorado, Washington state who smoke marijuana responsibly, having an occasional toke, but do not drive while they are high. The point is how the State handles or not handles those who become inebriated on the substances. Alcohol is a much more contentious substance as continued drinking leads to more and more diminished capacity and inebriation, leading to worse motor functioning and possibly death. Non-problematic pedestrians should be left alone.

I just knew you would take the loooong way around the barn to ultimately end up justifying your marijuana use. I don’t buy your statement about people not driving while they are high either. Please sing another song….you’ve worn this one out.
