IOWA CITY – Fran McCaffery’s Iowa Hawkeyes are now 2-0 on the young season after a 87-56 win Monday night over North Dakota State.
Five Hawkeyes scored in double figures for the Hawkeyes. They include: Gabe Olaseni (14), Jared Uthoff (12), Anthony Clemmons (11), Aaron White (10) and Adam Woodbury (10).
A re-surgent Clemmons recorded a career-high 3 three-pointers. He also matched his career best in steals (3).
Meanwhile, center Adam Woodbury recorded his first career double-double (10 points, 11 boards). His 11 boards ties his career high.
Olaseni recorded his fifth career double-double. He matched a career high in points (14) and rebounds (11).
The Hawkeyes return to action on Thursday when they face Texas at the 2K Classic in New York City. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CT).
