MASON CITY – A Mason City man was scary this Halloween and taken to jail for impeding the ability of his alleged victim to breath during a domestic incident.
Police were called to 1520 7th Place SW Friday morning at about 1:29 AM to respond to a domestic situation. After an investigation, police arrested Daniel Anthony Brown, age 27, on charges of felony domestic assault involving strangulation, enhanced domestic abuse assault, felony false imprisonment, and obstruction of emergency communications.
Brown was jail and held on $5,000 cash-only bond as he awaits a november 7 court date.
