OSAGE – Two men wanted since escaping from an Iowa halfway house a week ago have been caught by Osage police.

On Friday, October 17, West Union police were dispatched to the Department of Correctional Services West Union Residential Faculty for a report of three subjects who had escaped. It was reported that Taylor Alan Oaks, age 21, Shaun Michael McBride, age 21 and Tyler Lee Roe, age 23 – all residents at the Facility – had gone on escape. West Union Police conducted an investigation of the escapes. Taylor Oaks is currently on probation and supposed to be housed at the facility for sex abuse in the third degree and 2 counts of forgery. The escapees are persons of interest in a report that the West Union Police took on October 19th for a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina that was taken from the area.

On October 22, an Osage police officer conducted a traffic stop resulting in the arrest of two of the men wanted in connection with the escape from the West Union Residential Facility. Taken into custody was Shaun McBride and Taylor Oakes. Oakes was also charged by the Osage Police Department with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Roe apparently remains at large.
