MASON CITY – A Mason City man is back in jail for violating a no-contact order for a second time.
A protected party reported on October 22 that 21-year-old Nick Moser had made contact on October 21 at about 8:00 PM. Police located Moser and placed him under arrest. He was jailed and held on $2,000 bond as he awaits an October 30 hearing. He’ll be arraigned on November 3 on the original charge of harassment. According to police, late on the evening of September 16 Mason City police responded to the area of 10 1st Street NW, in a parking lot west of city hall, for a disturbance call. At the scene, police encountered Moser, who had arrived later in a vehicle, exited and approached the female who was near several witnesses. Moser is accused of threatening a female that he was going to retrieve a gun from his car and shoot her. The female and her friends were already parked in the parking lot when he approached.
Moser is facing two counts of first degree harassment in the case. He is now accused of violating the no-contact order twice.
Moser has already been found guilty once this year, of third degree harassment. He was also arrested after causing trouble in downtown Mason City during Ragbrai festivities.
