MASON CITY – A Mason City felon and two other men were taken to jail for trying to deliver methamphetamine.
Billy Lee Jaime Huerta, age 30, was caught by police on October 15 near Parker’s Woods and West Park on 1st Street NW. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and officers with the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force determined he was attempting to deliver the substance. He was arrested and taken to jail and held on $500,000 cash only bond and no bond by U.S. Marshals for conspiracy to distribute meth. Huerta was also wanted on a warrant for domestic abuse and drunk driving and is serving jail time on that charge.
Two other men were also booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail on the evening of October 15 on meth distribution charges brought by U.S. Marshals. Michael Sanchez Moreno, age 24 and Mora-Martinez Fransisco, age 28, were caught in Mason City and taken to jail on charges of possession of meth with intent to deliver.
