Iowa prison inmate dies

ANAMOSA – Darrell William Starkey, an inmate assigned to the Anamosa State Penitentiary, died Friday October 17, 2014 in the Penitentiary Hospice Care Unit.

Starkey died of natural causes form liver cancer.

Starkey was 56 years old and serving a fifty year sentence from Montgomery County for Murder Second Degree. This sentence began on November 25, 1997.
