Iowa man flees cops on freeway, finished by head-on collision with semi

logo-iowa-state-patrolMITCHELLVILLE, IOWA – An Iowa man lost his life Sunday as he fled law enforcement on Interstate 80 just east of Des Moines.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 26-year old Scott Trimble of Davenport died in a crash near Colfax in Jasper county at around 2:50 AM, as he was chased by law enforcement on Interstate 80. An ISP report said that Trimble was traveling eastbound and fleeing from law enforcement in a 2014 Lincoln, when he lost control of the car after it hit stop-sticks that were set down earlier, by Mitchellville Police. The car vaulted through the median and into the westbound lane, where it collided with a 2013 Freightliner truck driven by 52-year-old Michael Grodoski, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois. Grodoski was not injured. A passenger in one of the vehicles, Steve Miller, was injured and transported by ambulance to an area Hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.

Steve Miller was injured. I wonder if he’ll still be able to play guitar?
