MASON CITY – A felon residing at the Beje Clark halfway house was arrested Sunday morning while out on furlough after police checked up on him.
Kevin Dean Bridges, age 25, was found to be at 616 6th Ct. SE by Mason City police when he was on furlough from Beje. Officers determined that Bridges had committed a violation and took him to jail.
Bridges has run away from Beje before, once for months. He had been first sent there in February of 2012 after he received a deferred judgment for two burglaries he committed on local businesses. The first burglary was committed at Hart Brothers South, a gun shop that has since moved to a new location. The second burglary was committed at Gobeli Tax Service. Bridges committed both burglaries on February 2nd, 2011. Both locations were a couple blocks from his mother’s house where he was found hiding in December of 2012 after being absent from Beje for nearly 5 months. In February of the following year, he pled guilty to voluntary absence and got 30 days in jail and was ordered to pay $739.06 in fines and court fees. Records show he never made a payment on that balance.
He will be sent back to Beje Clark as his violations are adjudicated in court.

These no goods also get into the YMCA for free and walk around there like their shit doesn’t stink and a big bad ass. They are giving the Y a bad name and lots of family people have left. Im on my way out as soon as my contract expires. BEGE Clark is a escape goat for these losers. PERIOD MATT I hope you raise a big stink with this boarding kennel for cons.
Beje Clark is one of the worse things that Mason City allowed in the city. It is full of repeat druggers and thieves that are allowed back on the streets to repeat offend again. Shut the hole down and send them away to prison where they belong.
The concept of halfway house is bullshit. They need to be sent to a productive work farm constructed near the Cerro Gordo County Law Enforcement Complex. They can be work on growing organic fruits and vegetables for the community’s use (seasonal) and to act as sorters or recycled garbage (all year long). The jail’s use of plasma big screen TV’s is bullshit also. The entire concept of rehabilitation from offenses needs revisited and rethought.
I am concerned about Beje Clark. There are dangerous people living there. They cook food in restaurants all over town, work in stores, and are sent to Mason City from out of the area, many times, then decide to live here once they hook up with other crooks. Many of these malcontents hone their craft at Beje and only get worse. You can’t get any information from Beje about the crooks living there; they only begrudgingly answer questions, and this goes all the way to the state department of corrections. Why the secrecy? What does Leah R. Noel have to hide?
