MASON CITY – The Great River City Festival is underway in downtown Mason City Saturday.
The fun began Friday with the annual Ethnic Lunch sponsored by the North Iowa Diversity Appreciation Team. There were items for sale and food available of ethnic origin. Later, the River City Ramble Pub Crawl was held, where you could buy a beer mug for $5 and fill it up along the route. Tapas, Lorados, 1910 Lounge, Candy Bar, Sportsman’s Lounge, Eleven Lounge, Mason City Brewing, and Ransoms were particpating businesses.
Saturday, a farmer’s market was held, live music, trolley rides and the annual re-enactment of the Dillinger bank robbery. An art crawl and historic tour was offered throughout the downtown area, along with inflatables and music at MacNider Museum.
Later, at Mason City Brewing, there will be more live music and a cookout held.
