WAVERLY – A hearing was scheduled for Tuesday morning in the Casey Frederiksen murder trial in the death of little Evelyn Miller.
Frederiksen’s defense team wants to exclude from the trial Frederiksen’s child porn collection. Law enforcement found hundreds of images and videos depicting violent rapes and sexual images of children on a computer that Frederiksen tried to hide from investigators as they tried to find the little girl’s killer.
A judge will rule on that defense motion and may set a new trial date. Frederiksen is charged with first degree murder in the June 2005 slaying of 5-year-old Evelyn Miller. Her body was found along the Cedar River after an extensive search.
Frederiksen has been serving time in prison on convictions for possessing child porn and meth possession.
