NORTHWOOD – A woman who has caused her share of trouble in the Twin Cities area was busted recently at the Diamond Jo Casino.
Agents with the Department of Criminal Investigations at the Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood arrested 47-year-old Karen Eve Widstrom on August 12 on suspicion of fraudulently using a credit card. Worth county deputies arrived and took her to jail, charged with credit card fraud. She is now being housed in the Cerro Gordo County Jail as she awaits a September 15 court appearance in Northwood.
Widstrom was recently featured in a press release in Minneapolis announcing she is restricted from venturing into certain parts of the city, referred to as a “geographic restriction” which are court orders that the prosecutors seek as part of a conditional release during a pending case or as part of a probationary sentence. Widstrom is on probation in Minnesota for theft and prostitution. She is also banned from the Richfield Super Target for theft.
