Charles City man allegedly causes car accident while driving drunk

CHARLES CITY – Police in Charles City investigated an auto accident Sunday afternoon and arrested a man after an investigation.

Police responded to a hit and run accident at the 800 block of Cedar Street in Charles City Sunday at about 4:55 PM. A legally parked 2006 Nissan Altima owned by 33-year-old Katie Good of Grimes was struck by a 2002 Ford Exploer driven by 59-year-old Louis Bouillon of Charles City. After police investigated the accident, officers located Bouillon and placed him under arrest, charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain control. Bouillon was released from jail the next day, pending a court date on September 12, 2014.

Bollon was caught and convicted by Charles City police in 1997 for drunk driving.
