EMMETSBURG – NIACC sophomore Hannah Palmeter won the ICCAC 5K women’s time trial in a personal best time of 18 minutes, 25 seconds.
The 18:25 is the second-fastest time in school history for the women’s 5K. Anna Buenneke holds the school record with a time of 18:15 at the NJCAA Region XI meet in 2011.
The NIACC women placed second in the team standings.
Also for the NIACC women, freshman Alyssa Cowan placed sixth (21:09) and freshman Lattie Crozier placed seventh (21:17).
The NIACC men placed third in Saturday’s time trial. Sophomore Jaime Zarate placed third in the 5K race in 15:51. Freshman Imad Amenzou was next in line for the Trojans with a seventh-place finish in 16:19.
