NIT – The gaffes keep piling up for trial lawyer Bruce Braley, and the right-wingers are pouncing on video they captured of the Senate candidate caking on make-up and dressing like a farmer.
“Is Iowa Democrat and trial lawyer Bruce Braley the John Edwards of 2014?” the Iowa GOP asked Thursday, posting a video of Braley “prettying himself up for a farm ad”, in a devious comparison to the shamed Democratic former Vice Presidential candidate.
Republicans have portrayed their candidate, Joni Ernst, as a military woman and practically a saint who favors conservative values and served her country, while piling on Braley for a series of mis-steps and blunders.
“Hey, he’s not a farmer, but he plays one on TV,” the Iowa GOP smirked, asking its followers on social media of they “think Bruce Braley is the John Edwards of 2014.”
Braley and Ernst are embroiled in one the nation’s closest – and nastiest – races for Congress, with Ernst now holding a slight edge in recent polls.
