Unrest continues in Ferguson as feds investigate

FERGUSON, MO – Monday night, at least six members of the press were arrested, shots were fired, and persons were injured as clashes escalated between police and protestors in Ferguson, Missouri as the fallout continues from the police shooting of an un-armed black man on August 9.

On Tuesday, the FBI and Justice Department officials announced the next steps in a federal civil rights investigation into the shooting.

According to a statement from FBI Special Agent in Charge William P. Woods, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri Richard G. Callahan and Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Molly Moran:

“At the onset of our federal civil rights investigation, the Attorney General of the United States promised a thorough and complete investigation into the shooting death of Michael Brown. That investigation is proceeding. We can confirm that FBI agents, working together with attorneys from the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division and US Attorney’s Office, have already conducted several interviews of witnesses on the scene at the time of the shooting. Over the next several days, teams of FBI agents will be canvassing the neighborhood where the shooting took place to identify any individuals who may have information related to the shooting and have not yet come forward. We ask for the public’s cooperation and patience, and again urge anyone with information related to the shooting to contact the FBI.

The name of the police officer – Darren Wilson – who shot Brown was released last week. At the same time, Ferguson police released a video that showed Brown accosting a convenience store clerk as he apparently left the store with a box of cigars that the did not pay for. Some legal analysts are calling that action a felony robbery. The main contention now is what did the officer know when he stopped Brown and another man who were walking in the middle of a street. Some witnesses say that Brown had his hands up and was surrendering to officer Wilson, while others are saying that Brown “bum-rushed” Wilson and tried to get his gun. More protests are expected in Ferguson as the drama plays out.

As always, I’m ahead of the curve. I prophesied this many weeks ago. I speak bluntly and honestly about the issue, and as I predicted, it’s coming true. I’ll say it again: America CANNOT HEAL until the Karma has been properly dealt with. Basically, they are saying the same things I’ve been saying: White people cannot police and govern over black descendants of slaves. They need their own power structure.

I’m also really glad to see the National Conversation is turning to the Militarization of Police Forces. It’s high time these Rambos get reigned in. One night while driving through Charles City, I saw no less than 50 SUV’s racing through the streets one night on a drug bust. Talk about overkill. Just think each one of those drug task force guys is receiving a pretty hefty salary. Colossal waste of money to run around and play WAR.

@Philly-Totally disagree with you on this. Those people are responsible for their own actions. They are supposed to be adults.
