IOWA CITY – An Iowa Hawkeye men’s basketball player was arrested Saturday morning.
Senior Josh Oglesby was arrested by law enforcement in Iowa City on a charge of public intoxication.
The following is a statement from University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery regarding Oglesby’s arrest:
“I was made aware of the incident involving Josh this morning. I will collect all the facts when I return to Iowa City. Once fully informed of the situation, I will visit with Josh and we will operate in accordance with the rules and regulations of our student-athlete Code of Conduct.”
Another Iowa player, Peter Jok, has been arrested twice this year and suspended front he team.
