Cops chase Mason City man in Clear Lake before arresting him

CLEAR LAKE – A man convicted of breaking into cars was chased through the streets of Clear Lake Monday night before being caught and arrested.

Taylor Shawn Shill, age 23, was sought by Clear Lake police Monday evening. Cerro Gordo deputies joined in the hunt, and a foot chase ensued near the 1200 block of South Shore Drive. Shill was ultimately caught and taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail, wanted for allegedly violating terms of his probation related to a 2012 guilty plea to burglarizing cars.

Shill is being held on $5,000 cash-only bond as he awaits a July 30, 2014 court date.
