I think that the city should turn that area into another campground. Swimming, boating, a trail system…Could be a money maker for the city.
Probably used the money to buy statues. What ever happened to the dog park? Did they give up on that too? I have not seen anything done there this year. They have spent a lot of money on it (city money) and then just seemed to quit.
The do-gooders involved with the dog park, at last count, were woefully behind in their fundraising efforts. The park is siphoning money from the taxpayers but no one will admit it. Hundreds of man hours put in over there, some of the work dangerous. The park looks like it is half done. I do know that dog exercise equipment was going to be installed sometime soon.
@Matt-I have seen some people in there with their dogs. There was a lady in there with a black lab last Friday. I don’t know if they are supposed to or not but they might as well get some use out of it.
