Three Oelwein teens busted with pot

hemp marijuanaWEST UNION, IA – On July 15, 2014 at approximately 11:04 PM a Fayette County Deputy stopped a white Pontiac G6 in the 16000 block of 50th Street for failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of 50th Street and Highway 150. Upon making contact with the driver the Deputy noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Upon investigation 17 year old Austin Michael Arndt, 17 year old Samuel Adam Myott, and 17 year old Jared James Ladeburg, all of Oelwein, were arrested and transported to the Oelwein Police Department on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All three were released to their parents and referred to juvenile court services. Arndt was also cited for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. The incident remains under investigation.
