RAGBRAI riders find comfy accomodations at Mason City library

MASON CITY – Mason City has rolled out the welcome mat for RAGBRI this year, happy to have the event for the first time since 1985.

One of the stops for some riders is the Mason City library. Riders were greeted today with live music by Flashback, cool temps inside the building and free wireless internet access across the grounds.

Library Director Mary Markwalter said today that “we have had [riders] and their drivers since 9:00 AM. We we have had at least 130 by now.”

Mrs. Markwalter said that “they are listening to music, using the coffee shop, checking email, using the WI-FI, reading papers and some are just relaxing.”

The Mason City library is open until 8:00 PM tonight.
