Trial date pushed back for MN man accused of attempted murder and kidnapping of Clear Lake woman

CLEAR LAKE – A Minnesota man now in the Cerro Gordo County Jail has pleaded not guilty to charges of 1st degree kidnapping and attempted murder involving an alleged victim in Clear Lake.

Albert Mesenbrink, age 62 of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, pled not guilty to both charges on May 27th. He was set face a jury trial on July 15, 2014 with judge Rustin Davenport presiding.

On July 18th, Mesenbrink’s jury trial date was pushed back to February 9, 2015.

The victim told police that when she went to a local hotel to meet an undisclosed person, she was grabbed by a suspect who assaulted her and then fled.
