MASON CITY – Police arrested a Mason City man Tuesday evening for violation of the sex offender registry.
Cerro Gordo deputies went to the home of 26-year-old Christian George Andersen, at 324 East State Street at 4:57 PM and arrested him for failing to stay registered on the state’s sex offender registry. Andersen was convicted in Cerro Gordo county in 2009 on a charge of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse. The victim was a female, age 18 or older.
Andersen is being held on $2,00 cash or surety bond.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
