HUMBOLDT COUNTY, IOWA – A car full of teens was involved in a fatal accident early Saturday morning in northern Humboldt county.
According to a report, at about 1:45 AM August 17th, a 2003 Chevy Impala driven by 18 year-old Cody Weisbrich was traveling northbound on Rose Avenue near the 130th Street intersection with four teen occupants when Weisbrich lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then dropped off the west edge of the roadway and rolled onto the roadway and then slid to a stop on its roof near the intersection.
Weisbrich was injured, as was Landon Nokleby, 19, and Tyler Zaugg, 19. They were taken to a Humboldt hospital.
Two teens were killed in the incident: Joshua Naeve, 19, and Cody Schachtner, 19.
All five victims were from Humboldt.
