Steve King is at it again, this time releasing a video where he compares legal immigrants to bird dogs, saying that America gets the “pick of the litter” when choosing who to allow into the country.
King sent an email Thursday calling attacks on him “baseless” after he recently said that illegal aliens have “hands the size of cantaloupes because they’re hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert” while they weigh just 130 pounds.
In Thursday’s email, King asks for money and donations while saying that he has positive things to say about legal immigrants.
“In this video it is clear I complimented legal immigrants,” King stated Thursday in an email. “In fact, I’ve even received dozens of messages from Hispanics who have watched the video letting me know it was complimentary and many of them declared their disgust for the way the left has tried to twist my words! If you also agree, I hope you’ll make a generous donation to my campaign. Every single dollar you’re able to give will help me fight back against these baseless attacks.”

@4ever49-this time I think Kings let his mouth outrun his common sense. We really expect our congressmen to be smart enough not to let their mouths get them in a bind like this. Everyone seems to be distancing themselves from him over this.
