MASON CITY – One person was sent to the hospital by ambulance Friday after what police called a “verbal domestic” situation.
According to police, on Friday, July 12th, a verbal domestic incident was reported at 4:29 PM to Mason City police. Police responded to 410 North Pennsylvania Avenue and soon after an ambulance arrived at the scene.
It was reported that a female had apparently been a assaulted and had a cut on her leg and complained of a sore throat.
Police indicated that “the male and female at 410 North Pennsylvania Avenue said there was no physical assault but admitted to arguing and causing a disturbance. One of the residents claimed to have no assault-related injuries but wished to be transported to the hospital.”
A fire department ambulance transported one of the residents to the hospital at their request.
No charges were filed and the landlord – Kris Rachut of Mason City – was notified of the incident.
I agree. NIT should be ashamed of themselves
I thought sticks and stones could break bones, but words can never hurt.
You could say that all domestic abuse is a mental health issue. However, it is also a crime and therefore should be published.
Is there no respect for privacy anymore? Obviously this was for mental health reasons. This kind of thing is not news and I do not think should be published.
