MASON CITY – The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office released more details on an alleged drunk driving incident that injured five last April.
According to the sheriff’s office, on April 27, 2013 at approximately 7:41 PM, Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle roll-over accident at 3707 Partridge Ave. in Cerro Gordo County.
Robin Jenks, 39 of Sheffield was driving a 1994 Honda Accord south bound on Partridge Ave. when she lost control of the vehicle. Margaret Brown 29, Kyla Williams 8, Jaylan Brown 5, and Tristan Jenks 14 months all of Sheffield, IA were all passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident. All occupants sustained injuries as a result of the accident and were transported to Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Jaylan Brown was later air lifted to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Jenks turned herself in on July 1st and is now in the Cerro Gordo County Jail, held on $20,000 Cash/10% Cash Bond. She is charged with the following crimes:
-Homicide or Serious Injury By Vehicle a Class “D” Felony
-Child Endangerment a Class “C” Felony
-Child Endangerment a Class “D” Felony
-Child Endangerment a Class “D” Felony
-OWI 3rd or Subsequent Offense a Class “D” Felony
-Failure to Have A Valid License a Simple Misdemeanor
-Failure to Maintain Control a Simple Misdemeanor
-Open Container: Driver a Simple Misdemeanor
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
In addition, on July 5th, 2013 at approximately 1800hrs, Margaret Brown turned herself in and was charged with the following:
-Child Endangerment a Class “C” Felony
-Child Endangerment a Class “D” Felony
-Permitting an Unauthorized Person to Drive a Simple Misdemeanor
Brown is currently being held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail on a $10,000 Cash/10% Cash Bond.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
The charges were brought after an investigation by the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office. The following agencies assisted:
Mason City Fire Department, Rockwell-Swaledale EMT, Sheffield EMT, Sheffield Police Department, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
i am maggies ex girlfriend of 6 months yea i hate it too she does nothing but lie lie lie all the time my mom cant stand her i cant stand her she knew that robin had been drinking all day long kyla told me that robin had been drinkin all day as they were fishing that day and maggie had been drinking that day as well i know cuz she called me and told me she was and was acting a fool and robin is maggies ex ex girlfriend actually and roommate yea i hated that too but i could never trust maggie cuz all she did was lie to me she had a child at 18 and it got taken away by dhs as well for child endangerment imagine that huh and this is also not the first time maggie has been in trouble for not having a child in a baby seat its on her record as well and maggie knew robin had no drivers lisence she always let robin drive her car drunk she may not have liked it but she let her maggie didnt have a dl either but it was her car and she would drive as well i dont know if ever drunk but she would drive with out one maggie told me that she got a new lawyer and her new one told her to lie on the stand and say she did not know that robin did not have a dl to drive or it will look really bad on maggie but maggie is goin to lie the whole time on the stand anyways under othe cuz a that is all maggie knows how to do is lie and b if she told the truth she would go to prison for the max years as she very well should her 5 year old was in a coma almost died man lost hafe her brain maggie says her add makes her mind wonder and she didnt notice robin drunk i said if ur add cant protect ur kids then u shouldnt have ur kids period and im not a mom i told her over and over she is unfit and so has my mom we broke up and got back together 16 times in 6 months she spent alot of time here and alot of over nights here while visiting her daughter in rehab cuz i live like 5 minutes away from where jaylan is all i know is those kids deserve a mom a real mom not a lying unfit person who sleeps hafe the day away and they hafe to fend for themselves cuz she says her lexapro makes her so tired she does not deserve to have her kids at all or freedom at all either i loved her with all my heart man so much even after lies and lies i kept giving her chances thinking she would change she will never ever change ever she aint capable unless its to get worse i dont love her at all now i want justice served and people to see past her facade and see her for what she really is a fake and a phony and lier all drama as well thanks
