MASON CITY – Embezzlement charges have been brought against a Nora Springs woman.
A complaint was brought to the Mason City Police Department in November of 2012 from Prairie Ridge Treatment Center alleging theft by a former employee, Tracy Hassman, 42.
Hassman served as an insurance specialist and in client accounts, according to cached page on Prairie Ridge’s website.
Hassman was booked on March 12th and charged with 1st degree theft (embezzlement), a class C felony, for the alleged theft, which took place sometime in 2006.
Hassman posted a $10,000 bond and will be in court on March 27th, online records show.
Hassman will also be in court on April 16th for a second offense operating while intoxicated charge from a November 28th, 2012 incident in Floyd county where she was stopped by the Iowa State Patrol.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
Feel sorry for her family.. What an embarrassment to her parents Dennis and Corliss!! Her daughter Abby and grandchildren!! Husband Randy should leave her embezzling ass. Before he loses his job!!!! Tracy has always been trash!!!!

Was she working at Prairie Ridge when she got picked up for drunk driving? If she was don’t you think that she should have lost her job? Or is it the case of don’t do as I do–do as I say just wondering. I know a lot people that way.
It’s likely she went to PR “because” of drunk driving.

This person is a total B**tch; stuck up, and unkind to people. She and her husband, who happens to be bank president in Nora Springs (they might want to do a complete check of his handling of funds with his wife embezzling) are both drunks. She has gotten two OWI’s in the past seven years, with the most recent a few months ago. She shouldn’t have been working at Prairie Ridge.
Why is the wife of a bank president stealing from a treatment center?! Makes you wonder what her psychological problems are. Or maybe he’s a tightwad. lol.

What would that be? Last I checked their purpose is helping people function drug & alcohol free. Takes willingness and cooperation on the client’s part.
Their function it to earn a profit. They spread propaganda in relation to cannabis in order to reap the reward of treatment. In other words, they tell lies for money.
I’m very familiar with PR. Known them since their beginning back in the 70’s. They are NOT just for profit. Of course they will steer you away from any drug. That’s their purpose. helloooooo.
The outright propaganda they’ve made up in the Newsletters I’ve read says different. It’s really inexcusable. Someone half my age is telling lies in Newsletters in order reap the reward of treatment.
Let me explain how this warped system works. A college student is caught with pot. The government gives him the choice of a jail term and record or treatment. Jail is camping on concrete and sensory deprivation, so the young man chooses the treatment option. Now the treatment center has a “blank check”. The offender must now complete and pay for any treatment the center desires. See how this sick system works?
