GARNER – A two year investigation conducted by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office has lead to the arrest of three Klemme men on multiple felony charges.
Arrested were: Christopher Eugene Bachman, 30; Nicholas WayneUlrich, 25; and Mark Allen Gouge, 22.
Bachman is charged with: On-going criminal conduct (class B felony); Second degree arson (class C felony); 26 counts of second degree burglary (class C felonies); carrying weapons (aggravated misdemeanor); second degree theft (class D felony); and third degree theft (aggravated misdemeanor). Bachman faces 304 years in prison and $283,750 in fines.
Ulrich is charged with: On-going criminal conduct (class B felony); 4 counts of second degree burglary (class C felonies); possession of a firearm by a felon (class D felony); second degree theft (class D felony); and possession of a controlled substance (meth) (serious misdemeanor). Ulrich faces up to 76 years in prison $133,150 in fines.
Gouge is charged with: On-going criminal conduct (class B felony); 3 counts of second degree burglary (class C felonies); delivery of meth (class C felony); possession of a controlled substance (meth) (serious misdemeanor); and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) (serious misdemeanor). Gouge faces up to 67 years in prison and $55,000 in fines.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office was assisted during parts of its investigation by the Britt and Kanawha Police Departments; Hancock County Emergency Management; Cerro Gordo, Winnebago and Wright County Sheriff’s Offices; Iowa State Patrol; the Klemme and Garner Fire Departments; and the State Fire Marchall’s Office.
All three remain in custody on a $25,000 cash only bond. Each will have an initial appearance before the magistrate within 24 hours of arrest at which time bail conditions will be reviewed.
