Maria Ohl

From the City of Mason City –

The 2010 federal discrimination lawsuit filed by Maria Ohl against the City of Mason City has been dismissed as a result of a settlement reached with Ms. Ohl. Under the terms of the settlement the City denies any wrongdoing or admission of liability, and Ohl will receive $95,000 from the insurance carrier. She is hot would love to have her on top working me over.

I am pretty sure she has standards that you wouldn’t meet.

Seriously. what the hell is wrong with you? Are you a sociopath?

She is hot

I’d like to give her head!

Who cares MCPD is a joke anyways.

The other 58 responses shows that a lot of people care. Also those men and woman who risk their lives to protect us deserve lots of credit and praise. They pay a high price for this political war that has been declared on all of them. Not just the RACIEST curupt cops but the good ones are paying the price as well. RACIEST billionaire like George Sorros are funding these paid protesters and other organizations. They seek political power and try to shape how people vote to push their candidate into the White House. Wake up people. The police is not your enemy! Racism, ignorance and the inability to escape the traps that the elite has set and to think for yourself is. The elite in this country seek to control everyone, the world and we are to busy fighting about color, something that we can’t change. Wake up people!

The good cops are doing nothing about the bad cops, which makes them bad cops.

No taxpayer money ?- the insurance bill for city employees (aka) pubic servants is over a half million dollars of taxpayer money -PER YEAR ! No cost? you sound like bernie sanders who was just jimmy hoff -ed by crooked Hillery and the DC establishment.

She was railroaded and she deserves more than that! Tax payers or not. She did what she felt was right and she got slapped down. The woman is not only hot she is smart as well. They should give her the job back or hire her someplace else. She was a good cop! She pulled me over once and was very nice about it. I was speeding and she did her job. She pull me over any time! I’m married but if I were not, I’d be trying to get with her! Sorry honey! Well it’s true!

I seriously want her to have my baby and be my wife!

I agree with Tommy! She is hot! I want her too! Please have my son and Mary me!

no can do. lezzie

I think she deserves more and I think she is totally HOT! She is a good woman who did the right thing and I wish her the best. I also hope I see her again. Would love to date her!

I believe Ms. Ohl received this settlement due to the harrassment she was subjected to. Are any of the people who harrassed her going to be punished, or is Chief Lashbrook, who allowed the harrassment to continue, going to be punished? It seems to be all right to castigate and condemn Ms. Ohl for sueing and winning, but one has to consider that if the basis for her suit wasn’t ground in fact, she wouldn’t have won in the first place.

She would have made that $95,000 in two years if she would have still been employed by the police department. She will never be able to be a cop again.

Would YOU want to work with these guys and in this department? BTW you’re wrong, she won’t be a cop HERE again. She can choose to be a cop anywhere else.

Does anyone know how many times the city has been sued and settled out of court since Brent Trout took over as city administrator. Seems like we are paying him very well to run the city and we keep hearing about these case’s.

For those who can’t seem to read. She gave up ALL rights to fight this any further and gave the city a clean slate “Under the terms of the settlement the City denies any wrongdoing or admission of liability”. She won nothing (settlement) and gave up all rights to vindicate the permanent marks on her career history (Withdrew her challenge of the civil hearings verdict) for not even enough $$$ to equal her wages since this all started.

Are you really that naïve? Both cases settled days before court means full discovery and depositions already occurred. Now the damaging information is in their hands. The city has a clean slate? Really? Anyone who can read between the lines can see where this is heading. It’ll all come out in the media now, and probably come out on a national platform. Gerald Best is dead. Jodi Huisentruit is missing. Don Harmon “kills himself” 5 days after being visited by authorities related to the investigation. The Minnesota informant “just dies” 28 days after being visited by DCI related to the investigation. Former Chief Ellingson terminated just weeks after this brought to his attention in 2006. Former Attorney Tom Meyer resigns weeks after the court dates are set. The only party that has been stupid enough to comment on all of this is the City of Mason City. Intelligent people with the ace up their sleeve know how to lose a battle to win the war. Wake up. This is far from being over.

Lets not forget Robert Best (Gerald’s brother) who investigated his own brothers death because he felt the MCPD were giving him the cold shoulder. He’s dead also.
Coincidence?
I think not!

Is this for real? Rhonda Best the sister of these guys “kills herself” in October 2010 in a park in Mason City.

Big Blue Cool-Aide AKA Conspiracy Juice

You only wish!

Yes its for real. Robert died actually not long ago, who knows why.
Does anyone know where Travis Best is? I haven’t seen him on mugshots lately.

As a matter of fact if my memory serves me right I think Robert died not long after Donald Milks (The guy from MN)died. strange huh!

So it’s all a big conspiracy. It amazes me that local authorities are able to keep such a huge secret under wraps! The DCI and FBI were involved as well and helped with the cover-ups!!!! Nixon should have hired MCPD and he would have served 8 full years. Do you guys have any extra tin foil hats I can borrow?

Seriously, which of the guys was it that allegedly told Ohl this juicy secret she decided to keep to herself…while handcuffed, drunk in the back of a squad car? What was his arrest record and occupation?

You can twist your lies all you want, anyone with common sense knows better!

How about bringing in a Federal Investigator and conduct a Grand Jury Investigation regarding the Jodi Husintruit murder?

How about making the officers at the police department take lie detector tests?

I know with certainty that Ohl would be vindicated.

I know people who could testify behind closed doors to a Grand Jury.

You want the truth?

Chief Lashbrook should call for a full scale investigation!

I wish Ohl all the best. She deserves it. It’s extremely difficult to “take on city hall” (and the police dept.). She did – and won. Good for her!

I will have to agree with the person who said she is good lookin’. Maybe she will take some of that $95,000 and buy me a beer!

an insurance company won’t settle UNLESS they feel a HUGE settlement is in line if it goes to court. She has something legit on them.

..the real situation of Jodi has been covered up for a long time by MCPD….and she was harassed.

I wonder how much she got under the table. Sounds like they’re buying whats left of her silence. She did have witnesses & they died or were murdered remember? She’s not crazy, our fraud police department is crazy.

It will cost tax payers more money 2 settlements premiums will go up, who pays for that we do!!!! Rumors I’ve heard from city employees current leadership ai pd. Morale there at all time low. Favoritism hypocrisy was told even quotas. Hang on to your pocket book.

Don’t forget to tithe you 10% to your brother in law’s chucrh. I’ve heard if you attend his church you are required to tithe the 10% or be shunned.

Reposting to clarify. The post was meant for did we forget.

This article just goes to show how desperate, irresponsible and cheap NIT really is to get people to read a story. If you have read every article about this situation then you would have read that all the information brought to light was picked up by DCI. They have done every thing they can to do the right thing from what’s being written. I’m sure NIT would sure know how to go about a situation like this. Stop throwing stones from your desk you self indulgent wiener.

DCI? The right thing’? Haven’t you read the johnny gosch story!

lololololo..oh your not joking..

“All I want is for the truth to come out. I’m trying to get it out in the open so it won’t be a secret anymore,” – Maria Ohl (in regards to the cover-up of information in the Jodi Huisentruit case.)

NITs archives seem to be missing almost all the previous articles on this whole libel filled, I want the spotlight story.  Do some searching on Google and you will find more on this story, and frankly it should make people sick.  Where is this smoking gun Ohl and her brother in law supposedly have? How cruel and sick do you have to be to say you have the evidence to bring closure to this case. Then in turn give friends, family and other ones who truthfully care for the real truth to come out NOTHING!!!

Ohl, just like her brother in law showed exactly what they were wanting all along… $$$

It is a settlement people, pennies on the dollar of what an actual win would have brought, again just do a little Googling of similar cases.

As for the offices accused of being involved with Jodi’s disappearance, I hope they go after these two for slander and libel.  The accusations Ohl has made, of which have been found not credible are posted all over the internet and in videos.

The cities settlement shouldn’t be what is upsetting everyone, it should be the lack of respect that Ohl has for those who actually want the truth in the Huisentruit case and not just a quick $$$..

Did you forget that she did have proof through witnesses who either mysteriously died,or were killed,or threatened!(lets not forget Gerald best)I think your full of shit and probably a member of the good Ole boy club, friend, relative! If your going to sway your dribble maybe you should at least tell it like it was,Maybe you should go back and read carefully through archives starting as far back as billy pruin!Maybe everyone should!!

Good luck Maria!

Yeah yeah, we have heard it over and over again. The conspiracy that the MCPD, CG Sherrif, DCI, FBI and Obama were involved in covering this up.

OHL took the $$$, that’s what the records show.

And she deserved EVERY penny of it!

Lets face it the MCPD done her wrong because she was a good cop. She did the right thing going to the media first other wise she probably at some point would of ended up dead too. Which was a Brilliant move.

shes hot

I never knew she was this Hot!! WoW!!

Yea, for Maria. She deserved it. The poor woman had to work with a bunch of perverts at the Police Department.

I wonder if the Chief will get rid of the trash that mistreated Ms. Ohl?

Best to you, Maria

A Fan!

He won’t. He promotes them.

As a male that works with several women, I always try to ensure that I am respectful to my co-workers. Off-handed comments, even though meant as a joke, are inappropriate. Remember guys, women are in a protected class, and what you say or do could come back to haunt you. Like it or not, the working male does not have much legal protection.

I hope this settlement sends a message to male and female workers that bullying, demeaning comments, and sexist comments have absolutely no place in the work environment.

It’s called professionalism.

I agree, but some guys I work with and have worked with are very narrow-minded and still don’t get it. I work with a chump that had a female worker in tears. He’s a jerk.

“This payment does not represent any taxpayer money” That’s laughable. Sooner or later, the city will reimburse the insurance company the costs of this settlement, one way or another.

Add that to the money we had to pay the church for the lawsuit against the PD I am sure our premiums reflect it.

Its really too bad we had to loose such a good cop. MC is lacking and needs more cops like Maria! She might not of went by the proper channels in this case but I really don’t blame her and many would agree.
Good luck Maria some of us will miss you!

As someone noted in globeonline, tax payer money pays the insurance premium, the deductible (if any) and the higher rates that this may bring about.

They have not deleted the comment? Strange…..

A good question to ask the powers that be is their a deductible on city insurance

After all that time she get 95K. By the time she pays 30% in tax and 30% to the attorneys she will walk away with only 35K. Not even one years salary. This is a good deal for the city and insurance company, not to good for her.

LVS, she didn’t have any attorneys remember? She represented herself. Also, she will not pay any tax on that settlement as it is not “income”. She gets the whole $95k.

Just an FYI.

@My Voice-I stand corrected on the attorney although the case I was involved in one time had a similar settlement and it was considered income and therefore taxable. Maybe in this case they are looking at it differently. If she gets to keep it all it sound like it is about 2 1/2 years salary for a cop. And now she has no job and has this in her record. I don’t know who was right here but the insurance will settle if they think it is cheaper. Even though they claim there is no tax money involed they are certainly mistaken as our taxes pay for the insurance and we will also pay when the insurance increases.

“This payment does not represent any taxpayer money. The insurance company made the decision to settle the suit to avoid further litigation expense associated with the suit.”

These kind of statements always floor me. This payment does represent taxpayer money. Who is paying for the insurance? Hint…..Taxpayers!

Have you ever made a claim on your personal insurance? If you have, guess what, your insurance rates go up. But don’t worry, this is not tax payer money, the City of Mason City is paying for it, not us Tax payers.
