Missing four year old child found Tuesday evening

Leland, Iowa – Forest City Police confirmed tonight that multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for a missing 4 year old child tonight that may have wandered into a corn field about two miles west of Leland at about 5:30 PM.

One person familiar with the situation told NIT this evening that “there are over 250 volunteers looking for her and a plane using heat seeking equipment from Cedar Rapids in the air. LMFD is one of many departments helping with the search.”

UPDATE: The child was found Tuesday night at 11:30 PM and was said to be OK.

It made our news here in Nebraska. Wonderful community effort!!!

SHE’S BEEN FOUND!

I wish they would let the community know right away, i would have been up there helping as soon has it happened. I sure hope they find the child.

This is going on right in front of my house…

Why does the headline say dozens when the story says 250?

Dozens probably refers to agencies helping. There are Emergency response teams from a dozen communities.

Dozens searching, 250 searching, does it really matter in this instance? If this is all you have to worry about, I suggest you look in the mirror and ask yourself if maybe you shouldn’t get a life?
