Op-ed: Hiding in work sessions keeps public in the dark (by Peter Children)

Regarding John Skippers column today, Monday June 25, 2012.  I say if John wants to massage people he should get a job in a massage parlor.

Saying the issues are being worked out in workshop sessions prior to council meeting is a far reach.   Any council that votes in unison for six months straight is engaging collusion….and deception. The deception was perpetrated during the election when the public was tricked into believing that one or maybe two could be counted on to have a backbone.

What is going on here defies logic, it’s unnatural, against the laws of nature….but no one in this town actually votes, so it is what it is.  Dissension on the council is healthy, in the end the community will come out better on most issues. When you have an entire council continually voting in unison it’s unhealthy and highly suspicious; in other words there is no second choice to consider.

If you were to go into a casino and throw dice for six months straight and the same numbers always came up; the casino would examine the dice to see if they were loaded, there would be all sorts of investigations taking place….but here the spin master just wants to give you a shoulder rub and put you back in the ether and send you on your way.

What is really out of context here is this; if you’re scamming the public and getting away with it, why bring it to the attention of the general public? There just might be someone out there in fairyland whose awake and will alert the authorities.
