Vigil and fundraiser planned Sunday for Stevie Huerta, Jr.
Steven Huerta Jr., 21, died Thursday in Mason City after an accident. That story is here. Regan Banks, the North Iowa Youth Center Director, has alerted the media to a candlelight vigil and fundraiser for him and his family, to be held on Sunday.

I know that we are taught to respect the family of the passing of a loved one, but what about the respect that should of been taught by the parents to this young man to show respect and not to steal or do harm onto others? Myself I feel bad for his untimely death but Im sick and tired of the things these guys do to others, then they die and people make them out to be angels. I cant respect this benefit. His parents or whoever raised him shoild be the ones that need to feel really awful.

can none of you have any respect for the family? the past is the past! this is now, and honestly, the least they need is a little respect. who cares what he did back then? his family and friends still loved him, and always will, so show some respect. people these days!

this is the Steven H that did get into some trouble but he had turned his life around. the past is the past, but no one cares about that. they only see the negative never the positive. i am not sure about the felony charge someone posted about the bond, but people need to grow up and move on and let this family grieve with out all the idiots coming out of the wood work.
