MASON CITY – The Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health is pleased to announce a fitness opportunity for area residents. FitnessWrightNow partners, Daniel Wright and Rebecca Meyer, also former contestants of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” will be instructing a group fitness class at East Park on Monday, June 25, 2012 from 5:30-6:30 PM. The pair will lead participants through a fitness class requiring the use of outdoor amenities to complete a total body workout.
The fitness class is designed to educate participants on the ease and affordability of exercising without gym memberships or expensive equipment. Participants of all fitness levels are encouraged to register for the fitness class at www.cghealth.com. The fee to participate in the class is $15. Participates can pay at the beginning of the class.
Following the class, Wright and Meyer will be holding a LIVE Community Wellness Conversation from 7:00-8:00 PM at the East Park Shelter House 3. The conversations are part of a year-long series sponsored by the Health Department aimed to allow residents the opportunity to ask questions and learn from individuals who have lived through the struggles of weight management and health problems and overcome the obstacles to lead healthier lives.
